Discover some exceptional waterfowl hunting opportunities in southern Ontario through three hunts, open to all licensed hunters and made possible by the OFAH, the Long Point Waterfowlers Association, and the Rondeau Bay Waterfowlers Association.
For decades, the OFAH has been a leader in wildlife conservation and sustainable hunting practices, partnering with the province on numerous initiatives to support hunting and fishing traditions. Trusted by the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks, the OFAH’s involvement ensures these hunting experiences continue and are safe, enjoyable, and sustainable. Finding hunting locations in southern Ontario can be challenging, but the OFAH is dedicated to maintaining and expanding access to huntable lands.
Join us at Darlington, Long Point, or Rondeau Provincial Parks to experience the thrill of all that comes with waterfowl hunting in Ontario. Each location offers unique experiences amidst the natural beauty of Ontario while contributing to conservation efforts through the funds raised and harvest data collected.
Participating Provincial Parks
Darlington Provincial Park
Although this waterfowl hunt has been operating for many years, it has room to grow!
Take advantage of this unique opportunity to harvest waterfowl species that utilize McLaughlin Bay in Darlington Provincial Park during their migration across Lake Ontario.
Long Point Provincial Park
Long Point Provincial Park is the home base for the Long Point Waterfowl Management Unit (LPWMU). The LPWMU, along with the OFAH, facilitate a controlled waterfowl hunt in the Long Point Provincial Park marsh.
Rondeau Provincial Park
Rondeau Bay Waterfowlers Association (RBWA) is a not-for-profit organization working in co-operation with Ontario Parks, the OFAH and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
There are two zones in which hunting is permitted in Rondeau Bay.
Licensing and Permits
To participate in the waterfowl hunts at Darlington, Long Point, or Rondeau Provincial Parks, hunters must have a valid hunting licence and the necessary permits.

Season Dates, Hunt Dates and Regulations
Hunters should be aware of the specific season dates and regulations for waterfowl hunting, which change annually and are available on the Environment and Natural Resources website.
In addition, the parks operate on their own schedules, available from each location’s page.
Preparation, Gear & Cost
Proper preparation is key to a successful hunt. Hunters should ensure they have the appropriate gear, including decoys, calls, and suitable clothing.
