Ask a CO: Can you party hunt for grouse?

This reader asks if I’m hunting small game, like grouse, with friends, and I fill my daily limit, am I still able to party hunt with them?

Q: If I’m hunting small game, like grouse, with friends, and I fill my daily limit, am I still able to party hunt with them? A: No, you may not. Party hunting is only allowed for big game species. You and your small game hunting partners may each hunt your own limit; you cannot hunt grouse for your friends.
